The North American Arctic Security Workshop in Iqaluit, NU, is the second workshop in a series where collaboration between the North American and Arctic Defense and Security Network, University of Greenland Ilisimatusarfik’s Nasiffik Center, and Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies.
NAASW2 covers classic defense matters and beyond to include climate/environmental changes, economic development, energy security, infrastructure, logistics, traditional subsistence and other food security-related concerns, and cultural factors. Attendees will engage in Arctic security risk environmental developments, community-based contributions to domain awareness, disaster responses, instruments of governance, and opportunities across the North American Arctic for enhanced defense and security cooperation and collaboration.
