Fellowships & Interns
The objective of the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies Fellows, Intern, Scholars and Honoraria (FISHer) program is to increase skills, competency, and expertise for select Department of Defense, U.S. interagency, international allied/partner personnel, and emerging leaders with a broader understanding of the DoD role in Arctic security. Because each U.S. military service has differing priorities for advanced education, fellowships, and internships, the TSC can tailor the Arctic Fellows program to each service specific needs within the confines of applicable DoD and service policies.

Fellowships at TSC are currently limited to service sponsored active-duty military personnel. The intern, scholars, and honoraria program are still developing and will evolve in the coming months and years. In partnership with the University of Alaska, TSC is working to expand Arctic education, research, engagement opportunities to bolster an understanding about the complexities of the Arctic region through an academic studies and experiential learning approach.
