Operational Analyses – Ted Stevens Center.
ERMA. Provides highly detailed map and data on US arctic emergency response capabilities and their locations in the Arctic region.
Worldwide Ship Tracking In Real-time. Provides real-time shipping traffic plots on a map. Excellent for gaining perspective on maritime traffic patterns including around the arctic region.
NHHC. The Navy’s history and heritage command site has a rich catalogue of historical resources, much of it digitized and available immediately for researchers.
American Merchant Marine at War. The US merchant marine’s site provides a wealth of information about merchant shipping with particularly valuable sources on maritime convoys to Northern Russia in World War II.
The Combined Arms Research Library in Fort Leavenworth Kansas maintains a superb collection of research guides that could aide in arctic research, notably the World War II: Eastern Front, and Russia subject guides.
